Sources & References
We prefer primary standards and official guidance for unit definitions, conversion factors, and medicine-measurement safety.
Core measurement references
How sources are used
A source supports the definition, conversion relationship, safety statement, or measurement convention for which it is cited. Individual calculator pages may show only the references relevant to that conversion rather than repeating the entire site bibliography.
Source hierarchy
When practical, we prefer national measurement institutes, government agencies, standards bodies, official product information, and other primary references. Secondary educational sources may be used for additional explanation, but not to override a primary standard.
Suggest a source
If a source has moved, been superseded, or a stronger primary reference exists, email mgtomlconversion.org@gmail.com with the page and suggested replacement.
